Can often occur during nursing, when, infection can be found in the breast of women.

Symptoms:

   -    Redness
   -    Breast tenderness
   -    Possible induration
   -    Fever
   -    Chills
   -    Nausea
   -    Vomiting

When found early – treatment can occur and nursing may continue:
   •   dicloxacillin
   •   oxacillin

If a localized mass forms, surgical drainage may be needed.

If so, nursing would than be stopped.
