It is where the levels of Triglycerides in the blood are elevated and this is evaluated through blood work.
It is a rather common disorder in the United States.

Normal – Less then 150 mg/dL
Borderline – 150-199 mg/dL
High – 200-499 mg/dL
Very High – 500+
