Nonketotic Hyperosmolar Coma is a type of diabetic coma that is often seen in Type 2 Diabetes.
It can be a complication associated with Diabetes that in some cases may lead to death.
It is also known as: Hyperosmolar hyperglycemic nonketotic coma or hyperosmotic non-ketotic coma.
Large amounts of glucose are found in the blood.
It is different then Diabetic Ketoacidosis because no ketone bodies are produced.

- Change in reflexes
Other complications can be an increase risk of thrombosis
- Replacement of electrolytes
