Adipex-P
Adipex is a stimulant that is similar to an amphetamine. It is also referred to as Phentermine or Adipex-P. Phentermine is an appetite suppressant and it has a direct effect on the Central Nervous System (CNS).
Adipex-P can be used along with Diet and Exercise as a treatment for being overweight (Obesity). It is used for patients with risk factors of Hypertension (High blood pressure), High Cholesterol, Diabetes, and more.
Adipex should not be used in patients during Pregnancy or breastfeeding. Also, those with heart diseases such as Coronary Artery Disease, Heart Rhythm problems, or Congestive Heart Failure should be evaluated by a provider before starting.

1.) Weight loss
Dosing:
Adult Dose:
18.75 mg to 37.5 mg once a day. Usually, take before breakfast or 1-2 hours after breakfast.
Children’s Dose if greater than 17:
18.75 mg to 37.5 mg once a day. Usually, take before breakfast or 1-2 hours after breakfast.
Children’s Dose if under 17:

Other Medical Conditions that could limit Adipex’s use:
– Previous Stroke
– Severe or Uncontrolled Hypertension
– Glaucoma
– History of Pulmonary Hypertension
– Overactive Thyroid
– Use of a MAO Inhibitor in the past 14 days
*** Taking along with other medications such as fenfluramine (Phen-Fen) or Dexfenfluramine (Redux) can cause a rare fatal lung disorder.
