Asian Beef with Snow Peas

Asian Beef with snow peas can be easily made with Mushrooms, and a tasty sauce. It is easy to prepare and cook. Choose your own type of steak and deliver it over brown or white rice.

INGREDIENTS

–  1-1.5 lbs of thinly sliced Steak – Sirloin, Flank, or other boneless meat
–  12 ounces of Mushrooms – Thinly Sliced
–  12 ounces of Snow peas
–  4 tablespoons of Olive Oil
–  1 tablespoon of Salt – as needed
–  1-2 cups brown or white rice

Homemade Asian Sauce
–  1/2 cup of low-sodium Soy Sauce – Substitute Tamari if desired
–  2 teaspoons Rice Vinegar
–  1/2 teaspoon Ginger
–  5 Cloves of Garlic – Minced
–  5 tablespoons Brown Sugar

DIRECTIONS

Prepare Asian Sauce:
1.)  Combine Soy Sauce, Ginger, and Vinegar into a mixing bowl
2.)  Add in Brown Sugar and Minced Garlic
3.)  Whisk all ingredients and set aside

Cook Snow Peas:
4.)  Boil water in medium pan
5.)  Add snow peas for 5 minutes
6.)  Drain and Set aside

Cook Mushrooms:
7.)  Heat large skillet until hot
8.)  Add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
9.)  It should sizzle
10.)  Add thinly sliced Mushrooms
11.)  Cook them – turning them occasionally
12.)  They will brown on both sides
13.)  Add salt as desired
14.)  Place Mushrooms in bowl and set aside

Sear the Beef:
15.)   Use same skillet
16.)  You may have to cook the meat in 2 separate groups
17.)  Add 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
18.)  It should sizzle
19.)  Add Beef and let cook until brown on one side
20.)  Flip the meat and cook on opposite side
21.)  Keep in skillet

Adding Ingredients Together:
22.)  To the skillet with the meat – add Mushrooms, Snow Peas, and Sauce
23.)   Stir ingredients
24.)  Cook for 1 minute on high heat
25)  Cover skillet
26.)  Pour over Rice as desired
