This Italian Salad with Romaine Lettuce is similar to the sandwich without the bread and replaced by Romaine Lettuce. It also has cheese, meats, and veggies. What a perfect match for a salad. Yum

Italian Salad With Romaine Lettuce
INGREDIENTS
– 2 Hearts of Romaine Lettuce – shredded
– 1/2 pound of Salami – sliced and cut into squares
– 1/2 pound of Provolone – sliced and cut into squares
– 1/2 pound of Pepperoni – diced
– 8 oz. package of Mozzarella Balls – marinated mini fresh
– 1 White Onion
– 1 Red Pepper – sliced into strips
– 1 Cucumber – sliced thin
– 1 tablespoon Dried Basil
– 1 cup of Mild Pepper Rings
– 1 cup of Parmesan – cubed
– 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
– 2 teaspoons of Salt
– 1 tablespoon Pepper
– 1 cup Red Wine Vinegar
– 1 tablespoon Dried Basil
– 1 cup of Olive Oil
– 2 teaspoons of Kosher Salt
– t tablespoon of Garlic Powder
– 1 tablespoon Brown Sugar
– ** – Options – Substitute Natural Sweetener for Brown Sugar
DIRECTIONS
Directions for the Dressing:
1.) In a small bowl – Combine the Red Wine Vinegar and Olive Oil – mix together
2.) Add in Garlic powder, 1 tablespoon of basil
3.) Mix together Brown Sugar and Kosher Salt
Lettuce Salad:
4.) In a large bowl – add Romaine Lettuce
5.) Top the Salad with Red Pepper and Pepper Rings
6.) Add the Salami and Pepperoni
7.) Add the Mozzarella and Parmesan
8.) Add the Onion and Cucumber
9.) Arrange the meats, veggies, and cheese as desired
10.) Sprinkle Salt and Dried Basil
11.) Cover and refrigerate overnight. (At least 4+ hours)
Just Prior to Serving:
12.) Remove from Fridge and Dump into a Large bowel
13.) Toss salad well
14.) Drizzle lightly with the dressing
15.) Add Pepper per taste
