Recent studies have been performed and data shows that almost 1000 deaths per year could be avoided by breastfeeding alone. Also referred to as “Preventable Deaths”. The cost associated because of the lack of breast feeding is alarming and amazing. It has been calculated that just over $13 billion dollars annually are spent because of lack of breastfeeding.
