Often seen in individuals with other medical conditions such as diabetes, HIV, and pregnancy.

Also noted that a predisposition when previously taking antibiotics and corticosteroids

Candida infection is attracted to heat, warmth, moisture

Symptoms can be:

   -    redness
   -    swollen
   -    itchy
   -    white curd like material.

Typically no foul odor is associated with this infection

Treatment:
•      Miconazole suppository
•      Butoconazole cream
•      Clotrimazole vaginal tablet
•      Nystatin
•      Fluconazole – for recurrent infections
